Film...
Ok, I know I promised not too many pictures of the dog, but this is one of the better results from my recent experiment with the Konica C35 (see below). This was shot with T Max 100 at f2.8 at 1/30th (automatically set) with a Braun Hobby flash, and developed with 9 YEAR OLD Tmax developer.. :D So, I'd say it came out considering...

Renewal
More images of my rangefinder rehab. The light meter was not working. I replaced the batter, but no go. So I checked the wires to the battery compartment, and the black lead was broken off. So I fixed that, and still nothing. Finally, I pulled the camera completely apart and found that a couple screws had come loose inside the camera and ended up inside the meter mechanism. So I removed those, rewired the meter, voila. I hope to post images from that camera soon!
And here she is all buttoned up...

Roots
Last friday (man, I'm a whole week behind??) I spent the evening playing around with some vintage camera's I have to see if I could enlist any of them in this daily pic project. The top is a Konica c35. A cool little automatic rangefinder. It's got a f2.8 38mm lens, but is fully auto only, meaning that the light meter reads the scene and sets the appropriate aperture shutter speed from f2.8/30th to f14/650th. Unfortunately one of the leads broke off from the battery terminals. Here I was attempting to solder it back on. I can't solder.
The second is a Kodak Vigilant 620. I guess 620 film is still made somewhere. But it's not commonly available, and probably very expensive to acquire. So it's a museum piece.

Boy Cat
Ok.. So I'm blowing this pic-a-day thing...
I think the new plan is going to be pic-a-week. The real intent is to make new images, and I'm too busy to do that on a daily basis. I plan on getting an assortment of film cameras and getting back into some film, while still using the digital on more formal occasions. We'll see how that goes..
But here's another from the past. Thomas' cat "Boy Cat" at their old place in Chi-town..
